National Women’s Enterprise Day – Making It Happen - Thursday 17th October 2019

Afternoon Tea with Networking, Leadership Workshop and Motivational Speaker.  Waterford Local Enterprise office is teaming up with successful women in business to celebrate this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day in Hobson’s Restaurant, The Tower Hotel, overlooking Waterford’s quayside.

This year the theme is ‘Making It Happen’ and is aimed at inspiring and educating the next generation of female business leaders through networking, an interactive workshop on developing your leadership competencies with Muireann Fitzmaurice followed by inspirational speaker, Clare Dillon.

Muireann will facilitate a highly interactive workshop to help participants develop their leadership competencies at this event. Muireann is a lead trainer with the Entrepreneurs Academy on whose behalf she has trained over 1000 small business owners nationwide since she joined in 2012. She has an outstanding reputation for helping business owners feel inspired and get clarity on how to lead themselves and their business. Muireann is a qualified life coach, trainer and NLP practitioner and is particularly interested in helping business people identify their core strengths and how to use that to market their business. She has an BBS and MScP in Business & Marketing, with 15 years’ experience with FMCG & B2B brands. She is also founder of the Award-Winning business MarketingCoach.ie, recently winning the “Wicklow Business Woman of the Year” award for the development of her online tool The Marketing Toolkit, a tech solution to help business owners generate Marketing Plans.

Following delicious afternoon tea, Clare Dillon will talk about the basis of thinking and acting as leaders to ‘Make It Happen’ in your business and capitalising on emerging tech trends. With over 20 years experience of leadership development, business strategy and technology evangelism, Clare helps organisations maximise the opportunities presented by the latest technology, from AI to Virtual Reality. Clare Dillon was a key member of the Microsoft Ireland Leadership Team for 8 years as Microsoft transformed from a software product to a cloud services organisation, giving her first-hand experience of leading through times of change. She has also served on the board of the National Digital Research Centre, the Irish Internet Association and on the Industry Guidance Board of the Irish Centre for Cloud Computing and Commerce.   Book Here
