Guest speakers Dr. Senan Cooke, Author of ‘The Enterprising Community’, and Peadar Casey, Enterprise Development Manager of Carlow Institute of Technology, emphasised the challenges faced by social enterprises in Ireland and shared proven initiatives in other EU Countries.
Also, the event showcased visionary, dynamic and inspirational Irish social entrepreneurs, who received 1-1 mentoring through SuNSE and highlighted their positive experience as participants on the programme. Our EU partners deservedly praised and acknowledged these social entrepreneurs as leaders in addressing healthcare, social justice and inclusion issues in Ireland. The event was a great success and South East BIC is planning to host the next event in 2022.
